P & O River Tubing Excursions....Grenada or Dominica??

Did this trip in November with P&O in Grenada, it was OK but nothing too exciting. It had been fairly low rainfall prior to us getting there so the water level was low. Lots of hanging around stationary in the water waiting for the rest of the group. I did enjoy it but wouldn't choose it again. However I have previously been white water rafting in Costa Rica so found it hard not to compare.

Grenada has the spice market in the moderately interesting (but partly hilly) town. Or a good taxi/minibus trip into rainforest, waterfall, Fort St George overlooking town & ship, if you like get dropped at Grande Anse beach & watertaxi back to ship. Or just watertaxi ship to beach & back.

Dominica doesn't have a lot to offer, town very scruffy & boring.

So the lack of alternatives makes Dominica your best bet for river-tubing. We did it there. As the punk says, white water rafting it aint. But its a good laugh.

JB :)
