What's your opinion of Harrah's

What's your opinion of Harrah's New Orleans?

 

How close is it to the FQ? Walkable?

 

How about restaurants nearby. Breakfast? Is it near Cafe de Monde? (sp?). We won't be eating in the hotel ... we want to experience authentic New Orleans food.

It's a beautiful hotel, about three blocks from the French Quarter. Cefe du Monde is about eight blocks away, an easy walk or you can take the riverfront streetcar.

 

There are lots of great restaurants within easy walking distance. Two of our favorites are:

They are right across the street from each other. Tommy's specializes in seafood.

 

Entrees are in the low 20's to low 30's.
