How do you know which pier your ship (RCI) will be at?

Does RC always dock at the same place each time? I am trying to determine a hotel, and if it is possible to get a decent hotel within walking distance of the pier.

I believe that most of the ships park in the same area in Old San Juan. It is beautiful there. You can walk just about anywhere if you don't mind walking. Cabs are always around. Make sure you know how much it is before you get in though.

I contact both our TA and RCI regarding our sailing on the AOS on 6/13/04, they both told me that we are docked at Pan American Pier East, pier 6, which is a little further away from Old San Juan, a nice walk or about 10 min cab ride. You may want to check with TA or RCI for your sailing date, but I believe the AOS docks at the same pier all the time.. Especially since Carnival Destiny leaves San Juan on same night every other weekend.

RCI owns the Pan Am Pier, so yes, they always leave from there.
