Embassy Suites Isle Verde

Looking to stay here 6/5 and 6/13. Thinking of this because of 2 kids -- more room, free breakfast. Anyone stayed there? A regular suite is running about $190. Any other similar properties that are less?

We've stayed there twice pre-cruise for the same reason - we like Embassy Suites and it's much cheaper than two rooms. It was just fine, a typical Embassy Suites. Great pool area and only two blocks from the beach. The manager's reception and complimentary breakfast are nice too. There's an Outback Steakhouse off the lobby where we have eaten - we always want to try somewhere more exotic but are so tired after traveling since early morning hours that we had not yet done so.

I would book a cancellable reservation through the hotel. Then I would continue to check Hotwire to see if you can get a better price. You can tell which hotel you are going to get by the description. For the Embassy Suites the first icon is Suite. The other icons to check for are listed at these websites biddingfortravel.com and betterbidding.com.

Just returned from a pre-cruise stay at the Embassy Suites in San Juan. skigirl pretty much outlined the hotel. Additional comments--loved the fact that the in-room safe came with a key that you have in your possession. Also, lots of fast-food choices a few blocks away for lunch should you not want to pay hotel prices for food. Wouldn't venture out at night for dinner, not too sure how safe that would be. We felt the food at the hotel restaurant left a lot to be desired. Outback was good; however, get there early as it gets busy fast. Loved the idea that the hotel is only a few minutes from airport.
