jpres Posted February 18, 2013 #1 Share Posted February 18, 2013 If you have one day in Fiji, what would you do? Also accommodations for one night, what would be a good place to stay? Thanks, Sandra

I have been looking at the Sheraton in Denarau. Is that too far away from the airport? Thanks Sandra
FlightMedic555 Posted February 18, 2013 #4 Share Posted February 18, 2013 Raffles is a hotel across the street from the Nadi Airport and they have free transportation. The hotel was very nice with a nice pool. If you are departing from the airport the next day this hotel can't be beat. If you are departing from Denaru then any of the hotels there are good but they are pricey and the food is very pricey. Drive from Nadi to Denaru was about 30-40 minutes. If you are leaving out of Lakoutu (sp?) then staying in Denaru is a bad idea. We did this without knowing the lay of the land but we had to drive the 30-40 minutes back to the airport and then another hour or so from there. If we had stayed across the street from the airport we could have saved a decent amount of time.

Actually it is a stopover from NZ on our way home. What sightseeing tours would you or anyone recommend? Sandra
