Coba Ruins - Better in Sept or Nov?

We will be in Cozumel in September and again in November. Which month would be better to see the Coba Ruins? We are thinking it will be hotter in September, but maybe the seas will be rougher in November for the ferry ride? Would you need insect repellant either month? We would be taking the excursion through RCCl.

Thank you for all input.

We went in the summer and the heat and humidity was painfull.I love the site but would not go back if the heat and humidy was high. You are mostly under the umbrlla of the forest so very little air movement.

I beleive that Nov should be great time. Remember though that most of the sites in the Yuccatan are rain forests so be ready for that in Nov (just a guess) but an umbrella is easy to carry if not also high heat.
