QTgas Posted June 10, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 10, 2005 Fantastic! Ship was great, shows were nice. Not much to add from the other reviews except the line for immigration (Eastern Tour) was long, go as late as you can. It was fun listening to the people complaining about the disembarkation line behind me. It was about 60 minutes to get 3000 people off the ship. Not bad, still fun to watch people get worked up. Water slide was always open, I wanted to be the oldest person on it, 47, but the 72 year old behind me won! Steve the casino host was fun! Tell him Tim with the yellow shirt says "hi sweetie." The ship seemed easy to get around for us, wondered about some of the posts about the confusion? Seas were calm and we felt very little motion and loved our cabin 9207. Highlites, most everything. Lowlites, Our bill was 3 pages long for the 2 of us and our dinner mates was only 1. BUT WE WERE NOT AT WORK, IT WAS GREAT!!!!!! Sorry bout rambling, have a great cruise! PaulMedik Posted June 10, 2005 #3 Share Posted June 10, 2005 .......... It was about 60 minutes to get 3000 people off the ship. Not bad, still fun to watch people get worked up. ......... QTgas: Thanks for the review. 3000 people in 60 minutes means they're shoving 50 people off every minute. I sure hope they continue that pace so we'll not have to wait to board next Sunday! :D

QTgas Posted June 10, 2005 Author #5 Share Posted June 10, 2005 2 Lines leaving, but some were jumping overboard after seeing the lines. Ok maybe it was longer than 60 minutes.
PaulMedik Posted June 10, 2005 #6 Share Posted June 10, 2005 ....... but some were jumping overboard after seeing the lines. QTgas: I'm pretty sure I've read their reviews here too; they're demanding refunds because Carnival didn't have nets to catch them and didn't offer them towels as they surfaced. :D It really is good to read nice reviews even though the bad ones do help prepare us for any and everything. attitudeda Posted June 10, 2005 #9 Share Posted June 10, 2005 Did you go to the Piano bar? That was our favorite part of the Victory was hanging out at the Piano Bar. Some times we would even sing along with the Piano Man. Is the guy with the Glasses still playing at the Piano bar or is someone else.

cyndij Posted June 10, 2005 #11 Share Posted June 10, 2005 Thanks for the review. Our group will be on the Victory sailing July 10. 1 hour to get 3000 ppl off the ship sounds very efficent to me. I will also be on the Lido deck - how was the noise on this level? Any shore excursions you care to share with us?

Starspangle1 Posted June 10, 2005 #13 Share Posted June 10, 2005 been on about 10 cruises so far and the Victory just blew me away, loved the clubs, the food and the shows. The layout of the ship is great and easy to learn & the pizza was real pizza, calzones too. The midnight buffets were yummy, even if you just go to be nosey like me. Enjoy and wish I were back on the Victory.

QTgas Posted June 11, 2005 Author #15 Share Posted June 11, 2005 The Lido deck was very quiet towards the bow. I heard somewhere that there were 890 kids on board. I sure didn't see many. (Not many kid games in the casino or the piano bar I guess).
