Question about Jacksonville Port?

I am cruising on Thursday, March 7 on Carnival out of Jacksonville Port. I will be taking a cab from Jax airport to cruise ship. I would like to stop on the way to pick up water and bottle of wine. Is there somewhere close by and will a taxi stop for this? There will be 5 total riding with me who also wants to do the same. Please give any suggestions on this. I understand that there is no duty free shop at port to buy these items.

Just tell the cab driver what you want and he'll be happy to stop at a drug store or gas station-mart while you shop because the meter will be running.

 

I'd leave at least one person in the cab so that he does not forget about you and drive off with your bags. :eek:
