propulsion issues

In 2005 we had propulsion problems on the Glory while heading into our first port of Nassau. Instead of St. Maarten and St. Thomas, we went to Freeport and Key West. Meanwhile they were trying to fix the problem. Coming back to Port Canaveral, we slowed down when passing Miami and they brought out a part for the ship. We made it back on time and right on schedule, she took off again for her next cruise without any problems.

How quickly can propulsion issues by fixed? We are booked on the 3/31 sailing of the Legend. Will this problem be fixed by then?

No easy answer to that one. Some issues can be repaired quickly, while in port or at sea while others can take weeks or months and the services of a shipyard. It all depends on what the problem is.
