Upgrades after price drop without Early Saver

Hello all!

 

I booked a Sunshine Jun 28th Med Cruise in early Feb--- about one week before the Destiny "thing". Of course it was booked after Early Saver was locked out so I just took inside cabin, and paid in full, $949/pp.

 

Obviously since then then we've had several Carnival "things" and they are doing a lot of sales.

 

Currently the cheapest inside cabin is like $779/pp and the OV is $929/pp. I realize I'm not going to get the price drop--- and that's okay---- but my question is, does anyone have experience with getting an upgrade for free here? I mean we've already booked 2 excursions through them so I don't know if that may get me bonus points with them or anything when I call. It's just that the OV is now cheaper than the inside I bought.

 

Thoughts? Any one do anything similar like this before?

You can upgrade as long as you did'nt do the rate that lets carnaval pick you room. I just upgraded a week or 2 ago from and inside room to 2 ocean view connecting rooms for 210.00!! I did take me 2 hours on the phone though. Good luck

you call- your final payment is not due yet although it is paid.

 

Call your agent and ask for the upgrade- be careful that the ocean view is NOT under the galley
