DePalm Island Carnival excursion - can you leave early?

Honestly for the cost of the excursion for only 4 hours, imo I would tough out the 4 hours or not go at all.

Problem is going to be getting from the ferry depot to where ever you wish to go. The ferry depot is off the beaten path. If you do not have a car you would have to walkaways inland to a bus stop or hope that someone somewhere could call you a taxi.

It has been four years since I was there, but I believe that the ferry only runs at certain times. That may have changed since then.
