Can anyone tell me if the luggage trollies at Sydney Airport are free or do I need to make sure I have got the appropriate coins to access them?

The latest advise:

 

If you are departing via Sydney and need a trolley, make sure you have some change. Baggage trolleys will cost you A$4 per trolley (coins only). The hire stalls are located on the ground floor outside, before entering the terminal.

 

For passengers arriving into Sydney, trolleys are located in the baggage reclaim hall following Customs processing, and are free of charge
