Australians and Visa for Egypt

Hi we will be in Egypt in May aboard Holland ship Noordam.

Could some one who has been on a cruise in 2012 and called in Egypt please help with information.

We are doing a ship tour from Port Said to Cairo.

Then the next day a Private tour from Alexandria.

My question is will we need a visa or can we get it at the port like we have been told?

Does the ship organise visa for the ship tour?

Any information would be wonderful.

As an Aussie that has been on a cruise to Egypt. You dont need a Visa. Dont worry.

The ship will hold your passports. Authorities come on-board and automatically process you before arrival into Egypt. No action required by you, either ship or private tours.. It is wise, however, to carry a copy of passport with you at all times (any country).

^We had our passports given back to us for each port on RCI, they just kept it for processing purposes only.

 

But as others have said, no need for a visa :) Have fun, Egypt was amazing!
