moeferg Posted April 1, 2013 #1 Share Posted April 1, 2013 I am seeing the same rate I got at carnival for the cruise on a *********** site. They are also offered free on board credit. Will carnival honor that if I booked under the early saver program. (the on board credit)
emelvee Posted April 1, 2013 #2 Share Posted April 1, 2013 Yes, you can submit a request...you should get the OBC that is being offered. I would note in the comments on the form that the current rate offers OBC.
CTCruizin Posted April 1, 2013 #3 Share Posted April 1, 2013 If the OBC is being offered by a TA as part of a group booking, I don't believe that Carnival will match it.
emelvee Posted April 1, 2013 #4 Share Posted April 1, 2013 I just realized the rate/OBC OP mentions wasn't on Carnival...Carnival will adjust if the fare is available through Carnival only.
Quilting_Cruiser Posted April 1, 2013 #5 Share Posted April 1, 2013 Carnival will honor a lower advertised fare, even on another site, but they won't match OBC offered by a TA. And, TAs can offer only a small amount of OBC--Carnival has all kinds of rules about that. emelvee, Carnival has honored my price matching when the rate I've found has been on another site even though Carnival's site had a higher fare. Nice...but I wouldn't count on them doing it always, based on the ES terms: Early Saver fare is backed by a unique price protection policy that allows you to adjust your cruise fare to the best available fare advertised by Carnival and available to the general public. Leo's Rule Posted April 1, 2013 #7 Share Posted April 1, 2013 Nice...but I wouldn't count on them doing it always, based on the ES terms: If someone searched on the site that starts with an E and ends with an A; that is available to the public. You don't have to be a member of said site in order to get the price.
buddybean11 Posted April 2, 2013 #8 Share Posted April 2, 2013 ...Carnival will adjust if the fare is available through Carnival only. If carnival only matches their fares on carnival website why is there a place on the early saver form that asks what site that you found the rate on? Copy and pasted from ES Form: "Where was this fare for your specific ship, sailing date, stateroom category and number of guests located? Onboard Credit Upgrade Website (if applicable)"
kingoftheicedragons Posted April 2, 2013 #9 Share Posted April 2, 2013 Carnival does have a lowest price guarantee to price match with other sites, but you only have two days to find it once you book.

Perhaps they add the language in the ES description to give them an "out" if they don't want to match another site for some reason.
