Thanks for sharing. Photo 16 was taken where?

We just returned from Sun Princess end of May. Similar to your photo #14 of the crew, our crew also had many Alaska "rookies". One morning DH and I had spotted several pods of Orcas. We pointed out the whales to a crew member, and he saw the whales for his first time. He went to get 2 friends to see; they went to get 2 friends, and so on. We had about 15-20 minutes of whale spotting heaven. After before 4:30am. Ready to go again!

#16 was taken at Holgate Glacier in Kenai Fjords National Park, an independently booked excursion with Major Marine. Glad that you enjoyed the pics.

Beautiful pics! What was the bloody thing the bird was standing on?:confused:

 

Although I didn't witness the event the evidence leads me to conclude(guess) that a seal basking on that ice flow fell victim to an Orca attack. I can think of no other incident that would leave that much blood scattered about.
