For those that have an Alaska sailing date approaching here are a few photos from our 5/05 Dream cruise to wet your whistle. Here's hoping that you're blessed with the wonderful weather that we experienced. :D

We just returned from Sun Princess end of May. Similar to your photo #14 of the crew, our crew also had many Alaska "rookies". One morning DH and I had spotted several pods of Orcas. We pointed out the whales to a crew member, and he saw the whales for his first time. He went to get 2 friends to see; they went to get 2 friends, and so on. We had about 15-20 minutes of whale spotting heaven. After before 4:30am. Ready to go again!

#16 was taken at Holgate Glacier in Kenai Fjords National Park, an independently booked excursion with Major Marine. Glad that you enjoyed the pics.

Great pics! Our first cruise (Alaska)begins on June 26 and I am just way too excited! I hope my pictures turn out as nice as yours did!!!

Although I didn't witness the event the evidence leads me to conclude(guess) that a seal basking on that ice flow fell victim to an Orca attack. I can think of no other incident that would leave that much blood scattered about.
