jpres Posted April 6, 2013 #1 Share Posted April 6, 2013 Does anyone know if there would be a problem with customs after visiting a sheep farm? They always ask on the form if you have visited a farm. Thank you Sandra
Kiwi Kruzer Posted April 7, 2013 #2 Share Posted April 7, 2013 There will be no problem , as long as you declare it on the form . Australia and NZ both ask that question. We did most of our cruising and travelling while living on a farm and we had no problems. Their main concern is footwear, and you will probably be asked what shoes you were wearing on the farm. We always declared it on the form and sometimes it was a bonus as we would be sent to the Agricultural line where there were not as many people. As long as your shoes are clean and have no soil or dirt stuck to the soles you will be A OK.:):) Sometimes they just looked at our shoes and waved us through.:D
rugbypopsie Posted April 7, 2013 #3 Share Posted April 7, 2013 Generally our farms are free f the diseases found in the US and other places...coming home is the issue. Clean your shoes and keep them handy so AQUIS or MAF can check them...no problems. Sue

didiaust Posted April 7, 2013 #8 Share Posted April 7, 2013 Sorry I don't know what BAA....red is. Sorry ..just being flippant and didn't realise you were from Texas. I was referring to the noise a sheep makes and thinking you were from Oz and returning here hence sounding like barred.

I guess I should have asked my question on another message board. Sandra
