Tv Sets in the cabins - a geeky question

Hi

Do you know if the new tv screens in Princess cabins, and in particular the Golden Princess, are capable of reading an .avi or .mp4 file on a usb stick or SD card? We find we can do this in most hotels we stay and it would be cool to bring our own shows and not have to watch them on the notepad.

Thanks,

Don't know about the sticks, but we bring a portable DVD player and watch movies using RCA cables. You'll need to bring a small mirror so that you can see the back of the tv. It's tight in the cabinet, so won't swivel. I'm not a tech geek, but I hope that info is useful. By the way, the tv's are ViewSonic if that helps.

Great geeky question!

I have an array of devices I bring on trips to avoid watching the commercials I'm used to fast forwarding through.

Does anyone know if the Caribbean Princess has HDMI connections accessible on the TVs? I have a connector that I can use to run video and music off of my Galaxy phone.

Thanks!
