Which car rental at Port Canaveral is closest?

Hello. I need to rent a vehicle directly after debarking the Mariner on 7/17. We will be heading to Fort Myers. How close is the closest car rental agency? Will we need to take a taxi to get there? Is it possible to have a vehicle waiting for us when we get off the ship? Any help would be great! Thank you.

I think Budget is physically the closest, although we've used Hertz and Avis and all were just a short distance.

All three of those agencies, atleast, have shuttle service to their site.

The only way to have the rental waiting is if you book it before the cruise and pay for parking. HTH

I really wouldn't worry about closeness as much as which company you prefer to deal with and the rates. As long as they have a shuttle, and most do, it's really just a matter of minutes from one to the other.

One, I believe it is Thrifty, does not offer shuttle service but will pay for the taxi to the rental office. Check carefully. I had to book with them as I couldn't get a car from any with a shuttle.

We used Budget, they were great and walking distance to the Radisson.
