alvin moondust Posted April 16, 2013 #1 Share Posted April 16, 2013 Hi everyone We have booked a trip on Azura on the Getaway fair. it was for a balcony cabin The Eticket has arrived today and the cabin grade says: Guarantee GE I was wondering what this means, on the P&O wwebsite it just says the G is for balcony and the E means exception??? Is this a good thing or does it perhaps mean we have not yet been allocated a cabin number. Not too worried as we get what we get, just curious, perhaps its a Penthouse suite LOL:D:D Thanks Steve
janny444 Posted April 16, 2013 #2 Share Posted April 16, 2013 GE is the bottom grade of balcony cabins....they are on E deck but you have every chance of an upgrade to an higher grade of balcony cabin. When we have booked a guarantee cabin we have always ended up with an higher grade than the minimum grade that is confirmed....fingers crossed :)

BrianI Posted April 18, 2013 #5 Share Posted April 18, 2013 The cabin grades are based on location. The more expensive grades are midships and the cheaper grades are at the front and rear. The actual cabins are more or less identical with the same facilities. Brian

Cappers Posted April 21, 2013 #7 Share Posted April 21, 2013 We were allocated a GE cabin in January, it was a superior deluxe balcony cabin on a high deck fairly forward. It was very nice!
