DIY experiences: Vigo/La Coruna to SdC

Hi,

Does anyone have experience with going from either Vigo or La Coruna to Santiago de Compostela on their own? We are on Indy in October. We don't want the ships tour becase of the lack of free time to explore. Any help is greatly appreciated:)

May I suggest that you post your question in the Spain Ports of Call forum, where you are likely to get more replies ....:)

 

That said, a few folks on our ship last spring made the trip from La Coruña to Santiago de Compostela on their own via the train. Sorry I don't know the details.

 

I will also suggest that if you haven't already seen it, you should watch "The Way" with Martin Sheen before you go.

 

Have a great time; I thought Santiago de Compostela was quite interesting. Here are some very happy pilgrims who had just arrived on their journey by bicycle:
