We had captain Roy in Caribbean last year, he didn't like to toot toot when leaving ports:(

We quite enjoy hearing it, it's a bit like saying cheerio:) to the port and any locals watching you sail away, but felt Captain Roy deployed the stiff British upper lip when it came to that. :(

Is that correct? I thought he ahd left Thomsons earlier this year.

 

Great news if it is correct - we spent an excellent evening with him on our cruise last year and he was a fascinating Dinner comoanion who obviously loved the sea.

Captain John on the Celebration told me on the Celebration in April - he said it was later this summer - no firm date - a suggestion of Aug or Sept from memory but to be honest it was mentioned in passing and it was not polite for me to quiz him for a precise date !!! - sorry !
