Victoria English Pub Tour

Can anyone give me some comments about the pub tour? I know there is more to see in Victoria, but thought it might be a nice way to end our cruise since we don't have much time in port.

There is no need to pay for a ship's pub crawl, Victoria's downtown is quite small and compact so most of the pubs are walkable on your own...a few would require a $5/$7 cab fare. Here is the beginning of a list:

Thanks, we have been leaning towards doing it on our own, just thought it might be fun with a group. We will play this one by ear and if we decide to sign up for the ships tour will do it online. Won't be a big deal if it fills up.

Add the breweries that are must visit as well (although not sure if they're open on evenings)

 

Vancouver Island Brewery (Govt St @ approx bay St)

Phillips Brewery (Govt st @ approx Discovery St)

Buckerfields Brewery / Swans Pub (Store St @ Johnson St)

 

 

However, if you're going to limit yourself to just a few, the two not to miss are Spinniker's & Swans.
