gracecarmo Posted June 24, 2005 #4 Share Posted June 24, 2005 I saw the program on the building of the QM2...wow, what a great program! Now, I am as anxious as ever to get on board. We cruise in Oct., NYC to SH. A question: are the dividers between the balconys clear glass, so you see through them, or are they frosted? scottsanfilippo Posted June 24, 2005 #5 Share Posted June 24, 2005 The divider on my Q5 suite on the 9th deck was all metal. It has a door that opens if you were invited to the balcony for the cabin next door, but when closed, you can't see on either side of you.
ciaobella Posted June 25, 2005 #6 Share Posted June 25, 2005 The program on the QM2 was very interesting - it aired on the SCIENCE Channel where we live. I taped it but I think it would be good to have this as part of the TV programming aboard ship. It was absolutely amazing to see how the ship was put together, how the design quirks were fixed, how many people worked on this project, how much raw material was used, how the test runs went, how the safety drills were organized - every detail was organized! WHEW! I hope you are able to find this program on your cable system! I'm ready for a Trivia session about the QM2 after watching this!
