New latitudes member-benefits?

My husband and I registered for latitudes but have not been on a cruise yet:) so my question is will we get any latitude benefits or do you have to have points already? Specifically wondering about boarding if we will get any preferential treatment?

No benefits or points until after your first cruise.

You have to have at least one cruise before becoming a member.

 

If EVERYONE were to get priority boarding, even on their first cruise, then nobody would be in regular boarding. Nobody. (which would then be a shorter line).
