SissasMomE Posted June 21, 2013 #26 Share Posted June 21, 2013 You can take him into H2O. No one will say boo about it. You can't tell the difference between 16 and 18, and, as long as he's not running around like a child (doesn't sound like he will be), it's not a problem. Let's just end it here and not feed the troll any longer. Your family will have a wonderful cruise I am sure!
newmexicoNita Posted June 21, 2013 #27 Share Posted June 21, 2013 Hi Excuse my odd question - my 16 yr old 6ft 2" son will be travelling with us on Epic this summer, our 1st NCL cruise - and probably his last cruise with us for a while:(. The thing is - he does everything that we do - might sound a little sad but he doesn't do teen clubs etc, but eats with us, drinks with us (ok - not alcohol, but you know what I mean:cool:) goes to shows that we do (including adult comedy) and just generally hangs out with us. So what restrictions will we find we can't go to because we will have a 'big' 16 yr old with us ? If it just went on looks alone he would easily pass for older, but does his sea pass which presumably be different to ours, have to be shown to access all areas ? Any input much appreciated. Fig I don't know of any real restrictions except maybe a late show or two. Of course he can't drink alcohol even with your permission and btw, his size has nothing to do with anything. He could be 6 ft 10 and 16, it wouldn't make a difference. His sign and sail card will indicate if he is a child or an adult. the same would be true if her were 21 and 5ft 3in. newmexicoNita Posted June 21, 2013 #28 Share Posted June 21, 2013 Casino would be the one area he is not allowed oh, I forgot about that. I have seen the cruise lines be pretty relaxed when it comes to teens that age, if the casino isn't busy. if it is, you are right, he would have to leave. To the OP, our granddaughter were like your son, not really into the teen activities as they reached their jr or sr year in high school. They never had trouble finding plenty to keep them busy.
