Dream or Conquest?

We have been going through cruises trying to decide what to pick next and can't decide between two. It will be my husband and I and our two sons, 8 and 3. It is between a:

7 day Western Caribbean out of Port Canvaeral on the Dream

Cozumel; Belize; Mahongany Bay, Isla Roatan and Costa Maya

or

7 day Eastern Caribbean out of Miami on the Conquest

Half Moon Cay; St. Thomas; San Juan and Grand Turk

Which would you choose? We'd like to go to some nice beaches, do some shopping (not on an excursion) and do something active.

Thanks!

JMO but I would be going to Port Canaveral

Mahongany Bay Has the best beach. That is my opinion but I loved it there. Been on both of the choices and good things are at both.

The Dream is my favorite Carnival cruise and only ship I love I rate it on par with RC ships. (I have not been on the Breeze yet)

If you use Pt. Canaveral considering if your driving it take you less driving time and probably one night less to stay in hotel on the road I assume....you can make it from VA to Pt. Canaveral in a day.

I hate Belitz the most horrible place we ever visited DO NOT LEAVE THE GATES without being with a tour or your own tour guide!!

I don't care for Cozumel either and Costa Maya just ok

Half Moon Cay if your into beach or water sports I love this place.

St. Thomas you can do a tour of the island which is nice or go to Megans Bay nice beach.

San Juan is nice to see

Grand Turk beautiful beach

Isle Roatan we liked nice beach area too

Then I would look into dry dock both were one month apart sept/oct 2012 so that is equal

The Dream has the pasta bar area very good I have to admit

More shopping on Conquest ports

What is the price difference?

Based on those itineraries I would pick Dream.

On ships:

Dream has a great Serenity area, Conquest doesn't.

I prefer the Fish and Chips on Conquest and Dream has none.

WE love Belize.

Conquest has Guy's Burger Joint - Dream didn't last time we cruised on Dream, but might now.

The price different is within $20 from each other, so not a deal breaker.

I would go Dream, I would get a spa cabin, I would spent the day in Belize eating conch fritters and Belikin at the Wet Lizard, I would go to Maya Chan in Costa Maya and I would enjoy the beach and water at the other two ports. But that's just me... ;)
