Necessary to "link" YTD booking #?

Anyone know if it is necessary to "link" booking numbers together in order to be seated together for YTD? Or an the number is us that wish to dine together just show up and ask for table for that #?

It is necessary for all to have YTD, but no need to link the reservations, AFAIK.

YTD you do not need to link your booking numbers. The only time to link them together is if you have Early or Late seating

When we had YTD we simply went up to the hostess stand and requested a table for the number of people dining with us that night...sometimes just 2 of us, sometimes the whole gang.

I look at it another way--Sometimes ATD is full before the ship sails. If any of you are on the waitlist then it would be best to link your reservations so that all of you get ATD.

 

If you are all confirmed for ATD then you shouldn't need to link yourselves together.
