amsterdam To Volendam

hi,can anyone tell me if it is possible to take a canal boat from the area around anne franks house to volendam.if so how long would it take to get there.would we have enough time to do this and be back to the ship by five. :)

Transportation from Amsterdam to Volendam is by bus with a frequent schedule.

 

From Oosterdokskade near Amsterdam Central Station busnr. 110 from Connexxion will bring you to Volendam in about 30 minutes.

Tickets can be bought at the driver, but better (at cheaper) at the office of the buscompany or at the Amsterdam Tourist office.

 

From Ann Frank House can you either walk to central station ( abt. 20 minutes) or take a tram.
