ejhall Posted June 27, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 27, 2005 I was wondering what was the difference between categories BD and BE on the Sun? They seem to have the same sq footage and they are in similar location but on different decks. On the cruise I was looking at, there was quite a difference in price. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!
mbisson Posted June 27, 2005 #2 Share Posted June 27, 2005 Same cabin on a higher deck will normally be a higher category and require a higher price. If locations is no big deal to you, take the lower category. -Monte
ejhall Posted June 27, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted June 27, 2005 The BE's are on a lower deck than the BD's and the BE's are at a higher rate. That's why I was confused!
mbisson Posted June 27, 2005 #4 Share Posted June 27, 2005 From time to time I have actually seen outsides for less than insides and balconies for less than regular outsides. I've always assumed this was due to supply & demand. In those cases I'd bet that the lower category of cabin was selling so much quicker than the higher cat that the category with the fewer cabins became higher priced. I would bet that if these cabins are on the same sailing ;) there are many more BD's available than there are BE's. jmo -Monte
Cruise_More_Often Posted June 27, 2005 #5 Share Posted June 27, 2005 Venturing a wild guess here -- are the more expensive ones in the middle of the ship and the less expensive either aft or forward? Adele
