Bringing wine onboard

Recommended Posts

I will be sailing on Jewel in Sept. was wondering, is it better (easier) to carry on the 2 bottles of wine or keep them packed in our checked bag. Don't really feel like carry bottles around with us until our room is ready, yet don't want luggage sent to the naughty room for allowable wine.

If you pack the wine in checked bags, there's a good chance you will have to security to retrieve your bags. Not only does that waste time, but it delays your bags, so there's potentially more inconvenience.

We don't find it a big deal to carry the wine for the 1.5 hours until the room is ready. I carry one and my wife carries the other.
