jenninlaca Posted July 26, 2013 #26 Share Posted July 26, 2013 All of the suggestions on this thread are good and they show that there is not one perfect location on Allure. So much going on all over the ship that its impossible to be close to everything so you just have to pick the things you are mostly likely to be walking to. We like being close to the forward stairs because we love the Solarium and forward whirlpools and also we go often to Adventure Ocean I think the best cabins are close to the stairs (either one) and if you are more likely to spend time at the pools, Solarium and outdoor sports deck/zipline or Adventure Ocean, choose a higher deck. Choose a lower deck if you will spend more time at the Boarwalk, casino, Royal Promenade or bars. I think Deck 9 or 10 is a good compromise between the two and allows for taking the stairs almost anywhere on the ship. I found the Oasis class elevators to be annoyingly crowded and always preferred the stairs.
njoy2cruz Posted July 27, 2013 #27 Share Posted July 27, 2013 We just got back from a cruise on Allure a week ago and were in an oceanview balcony on deck 6 (6674). We really liked the location. It was close to an elevator and right by the Boardwalk. The Promenade was just one deck down and Central Park was just two decks up. I think it really depends on what you like to do. If you plan on spending a lot of time at the Boardwalk, the Aquatheater, the Promenade, then I would recommend deck 6. If you are one of those people who loves the peace and quite of Central Park, then deck 8 is made for you. If you like to spend a lot of time at the buffet and on the pool deck or sports activies, then a higher deck might be better for you. I figure if you are in a balcony cabin on Allure, you can't really go wrong. :-)
