brainyblonde Posted July 29, 2013 #1 Share Posted July 29, 2013 Have been concerned about the AC/Heat on the Oosterdam. We were in a verandah on the seventh floor for the 37 day crossing from NZ and never had AC/Heat for the entire cruise. Numerous visits from maintenance, numerous calls to the front desk, even a drop dead gorgeous minor official came one evening to inspect. (For my husband's sake I guess.) Each time it was announced as fixed. One mechanic managed to get hot air out while he was in the room, which promptly stopped shortly after he left. The AC was only circulated cabin air. 31 days later we received a bottle of the cheap champagne. Finally, we just gave up. We used three blankets by the time we arrived in Canada and used the sun to warm the room during the day. As Floridians we do not need strong AC. Hope it was resolved for Alaska. brainyblonde
