annfi Posted June 30, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 30, 2005 Wondering what to bring for evenings on this cruise. Are there "formal" nights? How dressy do folks get? Thanks!
smeyer418 Posted June 30, 2005 #2 Share Posted June 30, 2005 There is one formal optional night. Freestyle does not require formal dress- required dress for the dining room is resort casual some people do dress up...
jlines Posted June 30, 2005 #3 Share Posted June 30, 2005 There is one optional formal night in which one of the two main dining rooms will be set apart for formal attire only but you can go to either. Formal on NCL isn't quite as formal as other lines - a dark suit for men and a cocktail dress or dressy pantsuit for women is fine. The rest of the evenings are resort casual. I wore capris with nice tops or sundresses and DH wore casual slacks with a collared shirt (i.e. hawaiian and polo shirts).
jw1222 Posted July 4, 2005 #4 Share Posted July 4, 2005 Just got back from a Majesty cruise. The 2 main dining room (4 Seasons and 7 Seas) both have a sign out front which explains appropriate dress as no shorts, jeans or t-shirts after 5:30. I did wear a suit on the optional formal night (Monday on our cruise) but there were probably as many men not in a suit as in one. Other nights I wore dockers and a polo shirt and my wife wore a skirt or capris and a nice top.
