Thanks for the awesome review! We leave on pride for, our first cruise ever, in 3 weeks! I'm even more excited after finishing your review!

Question for you... It seems like you had what, one or two drinks per day... How much did you spend on alcohol? We have the bubbles program and will probably, like you, have one or two alcoholic drinks daily. I'd like to be prepared money-wise! Thanks!!!

Thanks for reading, glad you enjoyed it. My total bar charge was $99.77 for 3 people, alcohol for 2 & virgin drinks for 1. Most drinks were in the $10 range, with the exception of the one served in the funnel cup & pineapple.

Have a great first cruise!!!

You have a beautful family. Love the professional photos as well. I think I remember you saying you are a scrapbooker, I am too. Time to get out the tools ! I love being able to re-cruise whenever I want to by pulling out the albums.

Thanks...LOL, yes I am & actually ordering some new supplies now;)

What a great review! Thanks for sharing your cruise with us. I am determined to have as much fun as you did when we sail on the Pride this coming December 8th! (we spent a week on the Pride last year and enjoyed it so much we're going it again 53 weeks later!)

You have a fun family and I hope we see you all onboard another cruise some day!

We should have a scrapbookers cruise :D

Our Legend cruise was with the online message/listserve group, Scrapshare that I was a part of. We had a ball ! I had only met one of the Scrapshare members in person several years prior at a Creative Memories Convention. (CM is a direct sales company for scrapbooking supplies, classes etc.) One of my good friends who is not a scrapper joined us on the cruise and had a ball.

At first, we were going to scrap, but since we were coming from all over the country, we decided that flying with supplies would not be easy, there was no space that Carnival would set aside for us, AND we decided why waste cruise time scrapping, why not just take 1,000s of photos to scrap back at home.

As you know, scrapbook people are fantastic folks. We really had a great time. That was our first Carnival cruise. I came home and looked for cruise on another Spirit class ship, found a group, the Maniacs and joined them for the Miracle. We had a reunion cruise in March, 2013 on the Breeze. The Scrapshare group had a reunion on the Breeze in Feb., 2013. I was hoping both groups would choose the same week. that would have really been fun.

LOVED the review~~~Thanks! We are sailing 10/27 first time on the Pride! Really enjoyed your pictures. Your review showed just how much there is to do on a ship. We are the get up eat and lay by the pool kind of people but that is the joy of cruising ~you can do as much or as little as you want to! I am impressed with the less than $100 alcohol bill, my DH had 4 buckets of beer before we left the port on our last cruise

Thanks again!!!

Im hoping you can explain the Comfort Suites a little more. What did you book there what was the cost and what did it include? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks also for a great review. Cant wait to sail again in 2 months...:):D:cool:

I booked a room at CS for $159 plus tax ($211 total) which included 3 passes to Atlantis. The maximum passes you can get are 4, so if you need more you'd have to book 2 rooms. I was given the passes at check in & told if I wanted to use the room I could come back at 3 for the keys, but didn't. Walked next door to Atlantis, went through the casino & got our wristbands. We had access to the water slides, marine habitats, beach & pools.

If you decide to go just remember Atlantis uses a cashless system & provides towels. With all my research I forgot & left my plastic on the ship & brought my towels.

Have a great trip!!!

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. I always try to just lay out by the pool but then feel like I'm missing out on something. LOL I was impressed with the bill too. But I also had a 4 pack of Mikes Hard Lemonade from Bon Voyage, a bottle of vodka (in my allowed wine bottle....yes I know, I'm a bad girl), 2 of the old drink coupons $5.75 value & my free VIFP drink. It also helped that I was with my 13 yo.

Have a great cruise....you will love the Pride, she a great ship!!!

Thanks for sharing your pictures and your review! Looks like y'all had a blast. I really enjoyed looking at your pictures. Also the pic of the 3 of y'all by the pillar (it think) 1 of your daughters is in the high low dress (the pro one) you look the same age as your daughters.

Sad Sad sight

Can you believe Tiana packed a weeks wardrobe in that little suitcase in the middle? She must be adopted !!!

I love the Pride too; sailed her in April and plan to do it again in Novermber. I think what I'm most impressed with is the fact you all were able to pack so lightly. Please give me some tips to lighten my load. I need some serious help. My packing has to be brought under control.

Great review TeeTee! Loved it all. That French toast with the Cheerios looks AWFUL! I loved your Nassau pictures, especially since I'll be heading there on the Sensation soon. I can't help but LOL at Toast- participating in all the activities, trying to be the center of attention everywhere, shutting down the nightclub every night....sounds like someone I know. LOL Tell Tiana I said hello! :)

Thanks, ya'll are too kind. Luckily we were blessed with good genes, even the 23yo doesn't look her age. She gets so upset when people think shes around 16, I keep telling her she'll appreciate it later ;)

LOL, I actually surprised myself. I usually travel with both orange bags for myself, with the little one being for shoes & accessories. Truthfully I didn't really pack that light, just used space wisely for a change. I had a total of 10 dresses, which when rolled don't take up much space, 4 or 5 flip flops, 1 pr wedges & 5 swimsuits & coverups. Hopefully I can remember & do the same on my next cruise.

Awesome review! I enjoyed reading. :)

Thanks!!! That French toast tasted just as bad as it looked. I can't believe this will be your first trip, I'm sure you will have a great time. LOL, yes sounds very familiar ;) Tiana was all smiles & said hi!!

  • 3 weeks later...

Teetee, thanks for the fun review! My fam is headed out on the Pride for Thanksgiving. We live in MD, and the kids are excited to go under the Key and Bay bridges (as we drive over them often). Do you recall--ballpark--what times the ship approached those bridges? I'm certain it will be dusk for the Key Bridge at that time of year, and hopefully not too late for the big bridge, at least for a peak. Thanks!

I am interested in finding out the time also! We are trying to plan a sail away meeting place and time. Thanks!
