artvlay Posted September 21, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 21, 2013 We will be in Cherbourg for a short time in April. The ship arrives at 2pm and leaves at 9pm. Does anyone know of a tour guide for that short period of time? Or is there a nice town in the area that we can spend a few hours? frenchrci Posted October 11, 2013 #2 Share Posted October 11, 2013 (edited) Hi, It depends what you like and if you want to rent a car ! If you rent a car, Barfleur & St Vaast (watch on google ;)) are nice, and you can take touristic roads with beautiful views accross the french coast. Near Biville, in the other side, you have some "mountains of sand" (sorry for my bad english!) but no espacially things to see... If not, you can walk to "Fort du roule" which is not far away from the port. And then walk inside the town and visit. If you have questions about french things, culture, custums or anything else, ask me ! :) Edited October 11, 2013 by frenchrci
Wish I Could Posted July 5, 2014 #3 Share Posted July 5, 2014 Can anyone out there recommend a driver or taxi company who can provide a few hours of scenic driving out of the port of Cherbourg on September 7, 2014? I have sent numerous inquiries but have not received any responses. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
