18 Days to sailing...too late to change?

We have a cruise booked and it sails in 18 and something personal has come up and we feel like my hubby may need to stay home. Is it possible to replace him with another family member and just pay the $50 name change fee or do we still lose a portion of our paid fare if we do this?

 

We booked under More=Merrier rate which comes with the same rules/regulations as Past Guest. I thought we just had to pay the $50 but another posting said we would also lose 75% or our fare do to being so close to sailing.

You should be able to do a name change, but carnival has been changing rules so fast lately, it is hard to keep up.

Agree with above post. This is a question to ask Carnival.

Call and ask. We've been able to change pax for the $50 fee even on the day of sailing.
