We have been to Cockleshell beach in the past. How does South Friars beach compare?

Are there beach chairs, umbrellas and food at S. Friars? Also is S. Friars on the Caribbean or Atlantic side?

Thanks a bunch!

It's on the Caribbean side. I've only visited the north end, but all the amenities are there at Carambola. A bit pricey.

If going to S. Friars you don't have to go to Carambola. You can go further up the beach and hang out near the Shipwreck beach bar. Chair and umbrella rentals there along with drinks and some food. Kind of a narrow beach there, but not all that bad.

South Friars Bay has a good number of "unspoilt Caribbean" styled beach bars. Each having their own charm offering sun chairs, good shade, special drinks, food, interesting music, fantastic snorkeling and an all together great day on the beach guaranteed.

So if you want to get away from the crowd and typical tourist trap atmosphere that can sometimes frustrate your stay on the island, you should try The Godfather Music Beach Bar which is situated right in the middle of South Friars Bay.
