Grams2011 Posted December 22, 2013 #1 Share Posted December 22, 2013 Does anyone know if you can tip the butler and concierge at the end of the cruise by using your onboard account? Don't like to carry a lot of cash when I travel. Will be on the Jewel in Feb. Thanks.
WaldosPepper Posted December 23, 2013 #2 Share Posted December 23, 2013 Yes. No problem at all. Guest Services will handle everything, and give you a receipt. ;)

marelind Posted December 23, 2013 #4 Share Posted December 23, 2013 To be slightly more specific: Ask the Guest Services for a voucher to give the butler a gratuity. If they say they don't know what you are talking about, ask for them to ask someone else for assistance. The money will be included in your butler's/concierge's regular pay, but they do not pay taxes on it as their pay is not subject to the usual US payroll taxes. You can include one portion of the voucher in a thank you note (always handy to bring with you) you hand to them so they know it is coming.
