cvpends Posted December 28, 2013 #1 Share Posted December 28, 2013 I noticed two Residence Inns at the Miami Airport, one to the west, which is called Residence Inn Miami Airport West/Doral Area and one to the east, which is called Residence Inn Miami Airport. Besides $60 per night, what else is the difference between the two? Does it matter which we stay at for a home base a couple of pre-cruise nights? We will have a rental car. We like the idea of a Residence Inn because we can get a two-bedroom unit with a sofabed in the LR to accommodate the six of us.

While I'm generally a fan of Residence Inns, I would skip the two airport locations and stay at the one in Coconut Grove. The aiport area for the most part is pretty dismal and traffic is usually horrendous. The Coconut Grove one will also be closer to better tourist attractions and your family can walk over to CocoWalk for shopping and dining.
