luvtrips Posted January 13, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 13, 2014 We're taking a 4 day trip in Feb. on Carnival. We booked the wine tour in Ensenada. We've never been to Ensenada, so I have a question or two. Riviera del Pacifico sounds interesting for the remainder of the day. We thought we would take the wine tour, and either get dropped of at the ship for lunch and walk back into the shopping district, or get dropped at the shopping district directly from the wine tour. How close is the Riviera to the shopping district, or to the ship? Can we grab a taxi to it from either? Has anyone been there, is it worth a look? We don't sail from Ensenada until 8 pm, so we want to make the most of our visit. thank you !!!
pulledporky Posted January 13, 2014 #2 Share Posted January 13, 2014 According to google maps it's directly across from the marina. That said, I'd end the wine tour downtown ("shopping district") and make a dash for Tacos Lindos. Get a plate full of tacos, do your shopping, then it's an easy 5-10 minute walk back to the marina area. Many great places to eat in Ensenada, beats the lido buffet hands down. SadieN Posted January 13, 2014 #3 Share Posted January 13, 2014 It will be across the street and to the right. Be careful crossing the street, best to cross at a streetlight. Just to the south of the hotel is a nice Museum. The ship is a ten minute walk to/from downtown. When walking off the main tourist streest watch your step. Many open utility boxes in the middle of the sidewalks.
