Freedom of the seas Internet

Hey Everyone, this is our first cruise and I was wondering if anyone knows anything about internet on the cruise, I was wondering if there was a way to communicate with family back home. To just check on our kids :)

 

Also is there a section on these forums that is just to do with information on Freedom of the seas instead of having to go through all the Royal Caribbean ships? Thank you

If you click through to my Freedom blog in my sig below I have images of the log in process and charges. Whilst there is pervasive wifi connection was much faster in the Viking Lounge.
