Eden or Plaza Beach for snorkelling

We are arriving by cruise liner in about a weeks time and want to walk to a good snorkeling beach from the dock---I have read lots of reports on both the Eden and Plaza beaches but I'd like advice on which one is best for snorkeling. Thanks
