Dicenator Posted January 21, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 21, 2014 I'll be on the Crown Princess from Feb. 8th through Feb. 15th. I'm looking for information concerning the craps game on the ship and what the table is like. I'd like to know about the bounce characteristics of the table. The other thing that I'm concerned with is the amount of playing time available at the craps table on the ship. My past experience with the Emerald Princess in November 2009 was that the craps table was never opened in the afternoon on at-sea days and in the evening it never opened before 9 PM and then only half the table. All the other table games were open all day on at sea days and usually by 6 PM on days in port. Thanks, Dicenator
lor74 Posted February 4, 2014 #2 Share Posted February 4, 2014 I just got off from 2 weeks on the Crown, and I can tell you that I was in the casino for periods of time every day, and I only saw the craps table with players twice. It changes week to week based on the guests. The first week of my trip, the casino was very slow and closed early. The tables got a lot more action on week two....but not the craps table while I was there.

You could be there with very few people at the table.Of course, if you have a good roll and draw a crowd then others might decide to play. This happens to me a lot. sailor_jimc Posted February 6, 2014 #4 Share Posted February 6, 2014 The trick is not to get excited when you have a good roll. Stand there and let them push the chips to you and look like you are not having fun... If you can do that, then you won't draw attention of the "beginners" Of course that plan can be destroyed by a stickman that loves to scream "winner!" every time you hit a point... Sue Do-Over Posted March 3, 2014 #6 Share Posted March 3, 2014 Considering that it takes 4 people to run the table, plus a supervisor and a relief dealer, it's not surprising that the table isn't open early in the day. If that's your game, ask for it to be opened earlier, and show commitment to playing it. I introduced my sister (a table virgin) to the game onboard. We were soon known ship-wide as the Yo-Sisters, for cheering 'Yo, Baby, YOOOO!' on come-out rolls. We cheer and dance and often attract a full table in no time. On a memorable hot streak, we had the whole table doing a wiggle-dance when a point got hit... and half the spectators! Make it look fun and inviting, attract more players, and the pit supervisor will get it open earlier.
