MilitaryDiscount - how much time

..........The military discounts are great, and the discounts vary by sailing date/ship/catagory.

Does anyone know how far in advance you typically have to book to get the discount? And since it varies by ship/date are the peak months (June/July) less of a discount or no discount at all in your experience? Thanks!

It's kind of like an airline selling discounted seats.

There are a certain "allotment" of military discounts available. As the ship fills up, the discounts become less.

The way it was explained to me by my PVP was, up to 50% off per person depending on the capacity of the ship and how many people were booked at the time.

That's about what our discount came out to, near 50%. We got $200.00 off per person when our pre-taxes-and-port-fees rate was around $469/pp.

I think the amount of the discount depends of course on the type of room you're booking and everything. But the closer you get to your sail date, and therefore the closer you get to the ship being full, the discount amount decreases. It depends on ship capacity.

I hope that helps!
