Dame@sea Posted February 10, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 10, 2014 (edited) How often does NCL change the big shows on their ships? I've never cruised but I'm looking at Getaway because of the studios and Legally Blond but I won't be able to get away  until next year. I'm a major theatre geek and this isn't a show I've seen but I've very interested in it. Thanks Edited February 10, 2014 by Dame@sea
RoePost Posted February 10, 2014 #2 Share Posted February 10, 2014 Cruise lines spend a lot of money to produce their shows..especially something like Legally Blonde...they don't change them too often. I would say Legally Blonde will be about for at least 5 years....my guess.
Dame@sea Posted February 10, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted February 10, 2014 Thank you for the quick reply and the answer that I wanted to read. I did notice that Blue Man Group has been on Epic since she started her tour, but I thought that might be because it is a suitable show for a multi-lingual audience and Epic spends time in Europe. CruisinMaterial Posted February 10, 2014 #4 Share Posted February 10, 2014 The newest ships in NCL's fleet (Epic, Breakaway, Getaway) will have the same shows for years. It's their specialty shows and what they're known for. It's part of making the ship the attraction. On my last cruise on the Norwegian Star I did get wind that NCL productions is going to be changing the shows on that ship. There's some new productions coming into the mix on the Star and one, the all female production is going to the JAR graveyard like the country number did on the Jewel. Elements is moving to another ship as well. I think it's going to the Dawn and I don't know what that means about Bollywood on the Dawn. So there are some changes in the pipeline for the older ships but the new ships are going to keep their productions for a good long while. :)
