Aft Cabins?

In general do you feel more vibration from the engines / propellers, or motion in general in aft cabins on large (~3000 passenger) ships?

No, not to any significant degree with either. While mid-ship locations would feel the motion the least, by far the forward locations feel it the most. Vibration to some extent can occur with any ship but in our experience the newer, larger ships seem to experience it less. Either way it has never been a noticeable issue with us, regardless of stateroom location.

BTW, a number of the newer RCI vessels utilize azipod motors (motors encased below the ship in 360 degree rotation pods) which are virtually vibration free - and also eliminate the need for rudders.
