Prepay gratuities and buying onboard credit

The advantage to prepaying is so my entire vacation is paid in full before I ever set foot on the ship. No surprises at the end and no more money to pay. Of course, I have to monitor my spending on board to make sure I stay within the limit I set myself, but for me that's another benefit - setting myself an allowance of sorts, so that I don't get too crazy!

But just to be clear, there is no actual benefit (discounted amount, savings, perk, etc.) to pre-paying. It is not like buying a dining package where you receive a discount compared to a la carte, it is a convenience if anything.

Whether you like to prepay or be billed after is just a matter of personal preference; which way will you be more at ease on vacation.

Ok Clarea, had to ask-I saw on your signature that you've cruised RCCL several times-which is your favorite ship?? Have you ever cruised anything besides RC??

My favorite ship is whatever ship I'm lucky enough to be sailing on.:)

We only had one non-Royal cruise on Celebrity.
