Rare pierces Posted February 20, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 20, 2014 An interesting and thoughtful article over at Imaging Resource about changes affecting the photography industry. Not your typical cruise forum subject, but this part of the board has more than its share of gearheads...;) http://www.imaging-resource.com/news/2014/02/19/disruption-innovation-future-of-photography-roger-cicala-reads-tea-leaves Enjoy! awboater Posted February 20, 2014 #2 Share Posted February 20, 2014 Here is another article that doesn't quite agree with the imaging-resource article, but at least provokes thought: http://www.dslrbodies.com/newsviews/the-cp-interviews.html
peety3 Posted February 20, 2014 #3 Share Posted February 20, 2014 An interesting and thoughtful article over at Imaging Resource about changes affecting the photography industry. Not your typical cruise forum subject, but this part of the board has more than its share of gearheads...;) That story came from the LensRentals blog. If you visit the Cruise Critic Photo & Camera Discussions forum, you owe it to yourself to browse the LR blog as well. Roger is a (perhaps retired) spinal surgeon who launched a lens co-op that's grown to a juggernaut in the photo rental business. Amongst other posts, you really should read "Lenses: Don't Buy The Whole Set" and "First Wedding: Isn't Going To End Well".
