4 nites in Anchorage?? Is that because you don't want to move each day? I'd suggest 1 nite in Anchorage then move to Girdwood ... where it's cheaper and has access to sights and activities along the Turnagain Arm ie Wildlife Conservation Center, Begich Boggs Visitor Center and trails, Portage Lake. Girdwood lodging .. Glacier B&Bm Girdwood Guest House, Carriage House, Timberline B&B.

Or stay in Seward for 3 nites.

Anc lodging ..... Susitna, House of Jade, Moose Den, Moose Garden, Wildflower Inn, or for hotels Embassy Inn, Springhill Suites at University Lake

We have stayed at Moose in the Garden twice. A great place. We never stay at hotels anywhere unless there is absolutely no alternative.

Thanks to all for your recommendations on Anchorage. I talked to the folks at Moose Gardens yesterday. They are wonderful people and their home is exactly what we were looking for. I booked our stay with them.

There are so many places from which to choose. It was sure nice to have some first hand info.

Thanks again,

Randy

Their breakfasts are to die for. How about 20 or 30 varieties of syrup for your pancakes.
