Carnival Conquest 6330 or Empress Deck?

I just booked on the Conquest and got cabin 6330, which is the Upper deck, midship. I have read (on a different site) that this is not a great deck, that the one to book is the Empress since this is where the suites are and therefore have the best stewards etc. Thing is I can get Empress deck but it would not be midship.

Should I stick with what I got or go for Empress deck?

As you can probably tell this is our first cruise

the reason you go to deck 7 is because its between cabin space and away from public areas. it has nothing to do with a cabin steward.

in 22 cruises I have yet to meet a bad cabin steward. if he makes my bed twice a day and gives me fresh towels--im happy. I dont care that they dont speak to me or want to hang out- (many people get upset because they dont talk with them

but anyways-- right now you are over the casino area-- which is in a bad "neighborhood" there is a band that sets up across from the casino bar and that band does not start playing until 9pm and goes on til the wee hours.

yes. move up to get away from the noise issues-- not because the deck might have better cabin stewards.

on my cruises on this class of ship the best cabin is 7411 its a cheaper rate then the cabin beside it. No across the hall neighbor- (its where they store the fire door. easy access for the stairs / elevators. no noise issues,

for the same money you can take 7421 (same category cabin as what you have now.

Only one neighbor (because the fire door is on the other side.

If you have to go midship its going to cost you more money.

o to the even side--port side not the odd side. (starboard

starboard side is where the room service station is located

Thanks for the reply! I called and got my cabin changed to Empress deck - the agent kept saying it would be more $$ but after the change my account still shows the same balance due.

The original cabin might have been fine but I would obsess about it until we are actually on board (or so DH said ) so I just changed it.

The cabins you mentioned would not work for us - one is a balcony and the other only sleeps 2 (we need 3).

I just thought I'd toss in my 2 cents :) We just got back from a cruise on Conquest-a great ship!-and we were in room 6357. I'm hard of hearing and I could hear the music and even words of the songs that were sung down on deck 5! It lasted until midnight-ish each night. It wasn't terrible, but we considered it a lesson learned! I agree with the above poster's advise about deck 7 being a better option-plus I like the upper decks, easier to get where you need to go. Hope that is a little helpful, we had a blast on the Conquest

so where did you move to.

It was a VERY good decision. THere are many cabins on the upper deck that will have noise issues

We are now on the Empress deck, 7386. The agent did not give me many options so I hope it is a good one.

it is a good choice. turn left when leaving the cabin. use those aft stairs/ elevators. up two deck is the food and pools down 2 decks is the entertainment.

its the aft dining room.

If by chance you have the mid ship dining room you go to the mid ship elevators to get to tht dining room
